For fraud purposes, consumers are required to click on a confirmation link sent to their email address after making a CCPA request. Some fail to click on the confirmation link before the expiration date. These consumer requests are included in the total request count but are not reflected in the completed or denied categories. Others submit multiple (duplicate) CCPA requests while their initial requests are still pending, resulting in the rejection of those subsequent requests. These consumer requests are included in the total request count and in the denied categories.
