Summer is here, and vacation is around the corner. If you’re planning to travel outside of the U.S., consider booking a travel health consultation with one of our Albertsons Cos. pharmacists. In the above video, Liz Moir, Doctor of Pharmacy and director of patient care services for Albertsons Cos., explains how our pharmacists are available to create a customized vaccine plans based on travel itinerary, health and other factors.
What to expect:
- Book a travel health consultation at any Albertsons Cos. pharmacy for just $60. Appointments can be made online or through the store’s mobile app.
- A pharmacist will meet with you one-on-one to create a customized travel vaccine plan based on your itinerary, which can be quite complicated when traveling to multiple countries, and offer health advice on other medications needed for the trip.
- Travel vaccines available include Typhoid, Yellow Fever, Japanese Encephalitis, Chikungunya, Pertussis, Tick-borne Encephalitis and Cholera. Medications for malaria prevention, digestive health and over-the-counter needs such as sunscreen and bug repellent are also available, along with COVID-19 testing.
- For every immunization administered at one of our pharmacies, recipients will receive a coupon for up to $20 off their next grocery purchase of $200 or more and access to a free digital vaccine record.
- Most Albertsons Cos. pharmacies offer extended hours and weekend availability, making us a convenient alternative to traditional doctor’s offices.
