Susan Morris, Chief Executive Officer

Susan Morris is the Chief Executive Officer of Albertsons Companies, Inc., a leading food and drug retailer in the United States. In this role, Susan leads the Company’s growth and innovation through the accelerated strategy to earn Customers for Life, with a focus on digital engagement in e-commerce, loyalty, pharmacy and health, and in-store, as well as connecting retail brands with shoppers around the joys of food through the Albertsons Media Collective.

Four decades ago, Susan began her career at a customer service desk at an Albertsons store in the Denver market. Today, she is an accomplished leader with a deep knowledge of all aspects of the retail grocery business. Throughout her career, she has invested in the personal and professional growth of associates and led high-performing teams that continually raise the bar for Albertsons Cos. customers and the communities they serve. 

Before becoming CEO, Susan served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer from 2018 to 2025. She led the retail operations of the Company and oversaw more than 2,200 stores across 35 states. 

Her experience also includes serving as Executive Vice President of Regional Operations, Division President in two markets, and various other leadership roles across merchandising and operations. 

She serves on the Boards of Directors of IDACORP, Inc. (NYSE: IDA) and the Food Marketing Institute. Previously she served as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Albertsons Companies Foundation, which is committed to reducing food insecurity and lifting up communities the Company serves.

Sharon McCollam, President and Chief Financial Officer

Sharon McCollam is an accomplished, transformative leader in the retail industry, having led multiple organizations to reach new heights, turn around performance and drive growth. Since she joined Albertsons Companies in September 2021, she has been integral in shaping and leading the company’s growth and transformation strategies to earn customers for life.

In her current role as Albertsons Companies President and Chief Financial Officer, Sharon oversees all aspects of corporate finance and corporate strategy, as well as information technology, supply chain operations and property development. She is well known for her expertise in retail operations, digital growth strategies and creating a customer-driven culture. She leads her team in fulfilling our company’s purpose to help customers bring people together around the joys of food and to inspire well-being.

Before joining Albertsons Cos., Sharon served as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, and Chief Financial Officer at Best Buy Co., Inc., where she co-piloted the renowned Renew Blue transformation revitalizing the company's omni-channel presence. Prior to that, she was Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Williams-Sonoma, Inc., contributing significantly to operational efficiency and financial strategy.

Sharon's favorite food is a hearty bowl of soup, which she believes brings joy and comfort, embodying the essence of bringing people together around the joys of food. In her free time, Sharon enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family, which not only promotes bringing people together, but also offers a refreshing escape into endless activities, aligning with Albertsons' purpose to inspire well-being.

Anuj Dhanda, EVP, Chief Technology & Transformation Officer

Anuj Dhanda is an accomplished leader in the retail industry, bringing extensive expertise in business transformation, digital marketing and commerce, systems modernization, data science, product management and data security. Under his leadership, Albertsons Companies has created a seamless in-store and online shopping experience, and modernized capabilities across the enterprise, so that customers can bring people together around the joys of food and inspiring well-being.

As the Chief Technology & Transformation Officer for Albertsons Companies, Anuj has spearheaded award-winning technological innovations that have significantly elevated standards within the retail sector. His leadership has been pivotal in raising the bar for Albertsons Cos.'s strong digital product capabilities and enabling those to be extended into solutions for retail operations, supply chain and functional support areas. Through these efforts, Anuj has played a crucial role in driving the company's ambition to earn customers for life.

Prior to joining Albertsons Cos., Anuj served as the Chief Information Officer at Giant Eagle where he led the transformation of digital systems and enhanced data security measures. Before Giant Eagle, he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at PNC Financial Services Group where he upgraded systems and drove digital marketing initiatives. His career began at KPMG in Bahrain as a consultant, providing valuable insights for firms in the finance sector.

One of Anuj's hobbies is cooking Indian food, and he is proud of his okra, saag lamb, and butter chicken preparations. He loves cooking for his family and friends, bringing together stories, experiences, and thoughtful, fun topics over a meal.

Rob Backus, EVP, Operations - East

Rob Backus is a dynamic and accomplished leader with more than 35 years of success in the retail industry. His journey, marked by strategic innovation and a deep commitment to customer satisfaction, makes him an outstanding leader, helping us fulfill our purpose of bringing people together around the joys of food and to inspire well-being.

As the EVP of Retail Operations (East), Rob oversees a vast network of 900 stores across 19 states and the District of Columbia, operating under 14 historically significant banners – encompassing more than one-third of our retail locations. His leadership approach emphasizes teamwork, clear strategy, and a customer-driven mindset, which guides him as he and his team to earn customers for life.

Prior to his current role, Rob served as the President of the Shaw’s Division where he spearheaded efforts that significantly enhanced performance metrics. Before that, he was the Senior Vice President of Operations for our Seattle Division. His career began as a courtesy clerk at Canada Safeway in 1990, progressing through various store management positions across Canada Safeway’s British Columbia operations, culminating in several senior leadership roles that prepared him for his current responsibilities.

Rob’s favorite food is smoked beef brisket, which he believes brings people together and creates lasting memories. He values the joy and comfort that food can bring into people's lives, reflecting the company’s purpose. In his free time, Rob enjoys cycling and staying active, activities that inspire his well-being and contribute to a balanced lifestyle.

Michelle Larson, EVP, Chief Merchandising Officer

Michelle, as EVP, Chief Merchandising Officer, and her team are key to driving our customers for life strategy. She is accountable for our Own Brands, Merchandising Strategy including Category Excellence, Merchandising Services including Pricing & Promotion and Space Planning, as well as Fuel and Commission Income.

Michelle began her career in 1995 as an Albertsons store associate in Peoria, Arizona. She has served in various positions across different departments, including fresh and center store, demonstrating leadership and expertise. In 2018, she was appointed Division President of the Shaw's Division and subsequently the Southwest Division, where she successfully implemented growth initiatives and operational enhancements. In 2023, Michelle was promoted to EVP, Operations East, and then transitioned to EVP, Operations West in 2024.

One of Michelle's favorite foods is blue box macaroni and cheese because it brings back cherished childhood memories of after-school meals with her family. For her, preparing and enjoying this dish brings a simple joy and fosters a sense of togetherness, perfectly aligning with Albertsons Companies' purpose of bringing people together around the joys of food. She prioritizes time with family and friends and consistently participates in self-improvement activities, which enhance her overall well-being and maintain balance.

Tom Moriarty, EVP, M+A and Corporate Affairs

Tom Moriarty is an accomplished executive with more than three decades of leadership experience in corporate strategy, operations, policy, and legal. His expertise lies in steering complex organizations towards growth and innovation. As the Executive Vice President, M+A and Corporate Affairs, Tom plays a pivotal role in achieving the company’s purpose of bringing people together around the joys of food and inspiring well-being.

In his current position at Albertsons Companies, Tom oversees the functions of M+A, Business Development, Government Relations, Corporate Communications, Sustainability, and Legal. He leads efforts to enhance business productivity and foster customer loyalty, supporting the company's ambition of earning customers for life. Tom and his team engage key stakeholders to deepen their understanding of the role Albertsons Cos. plays in communities across America, strengthening the company’s reputation as a vital contributor. He has spearheaded several significant initiatives, including implementing industry-leading compliance programs and fostering cross-functional collaborations to drive holistic organizational success.

Prior to joining Albertsons Cos. Tom served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Policy and External Affairs Officer, and General Counsel at CVS Health. There, he led global pharmaceutical strategies and external affairs, contributing to the company's expansive growth and market presence. Before CVS Health, Tom held various leadership roles at Medco Health Solutions, including positions in corporate strategy, legal affairs, and global supply chain management, where he drove significant mergers and acquisitions and operational enhancements

For Tom, the joy of food is experienced in the power of convening and community. He feels this joy in a Sunday dinner with family, or a gathering of friends and neighbors that lift everyone's spirits.

Evan Rainwater, EVP, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Strategic Sourcing

Evan Rainwater brings his extensive expertise in supply chain, manufacturing and strategic sourcing to lead transformative solutions. Known for his innovative strategies and relentless focus on operational excellence, Evan plays a pivotal role in earning customers for life for Albertsons Companies.

As the Executive Vice President of Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Strategic Sourcing at Albertsons Companies, Evan oversees 20 manufacturing plants, 22 distribution centers, and procurement for products sold in our stores. He is responsible for the quality and service levels of the entire supply chain across the enterprise. Evan has spearheaded numerous innovations and projects that have raised the bar in the company’s ability to deliver on its purpose –bringing people together around the joys of food and inspiring well-being.

Before joining Albertsons Cos., Evan held senior management roles at Winn Dixie, Rubbermaid, and Mobil Oil. At Winn Dixie, he managed logistics and distribution operations, enhancing service efficiency. At Rubbermaid, he led manufacturing initiatives focusing on product quality and process improvements. At Mobil Oil, Evan was responsible for logistics strategies, optimizing supply chain processes to support business growth.

Evan's favorite food is barbecue ribs, not just for the rich, smoky flavor and fall-off-the-bone tenderness, but because of the family tradition tied to them. Every year, around the Fourth of July, Evan hosts an annual barbecue rib cook-off that brings together family and friends in a celebration of food, fun, and friendly competition. It’s more than just a meal—it’s a shared experience filled with laughter, stories, and the mouthwatering aroma of ribs slow-cooking on the grill. Each person brings their own secret rub or sauce, eager to claim the official title of “rib master,” but in the end, everyone wins—because they all get to enjoy plate after plate of delicious ribs together.

Jennifer Saenz, EVP, Chief Commercial Officer

As EVP, Chief Commercial Officer at Albertsons Companies, Jennifer spearheads growth initiatives for Pharmacy, Health, E-commerce, Digital Experiences, Marketing and Loyalty, and the Albertsons Media Collective. Since joining Albertsons Cos. in July 2021, she has held various roles, including Chief Merchandising Officer, where she and her team anticipated customer needs, offering exceptional goods and services. She strengthened the award-winning Own Brands program and built powerful relationships with brand partners. Jennifer's cross-functional collaborations have been instrumental in achieving our ambition to earn Customers for Life. 

Her career includes 15 years at PepsiCo, including serving as Global Chief Marketing Officer and President of the Global Foods business. 

Jennifer’s favorite food is homemade brioche French toast topped real maple syrup, fresh mixed berries, and just the right amount of powdered sugar. It’s made even better when it is shared and enjoyed with family and friends. She finds balance in exploring nature, enjoying long walks and hikes outside whenever and wherever she can. 

Mike Theilmann, EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer

Since joining Albertsons Companies in 2019, Mike has led transformative initiatives in talent acquisition, associate development, compensation, benefits, and labor relations. His leadership has been pivotal in redefining the company’s ambition, purpose, and values—enhancing associate engagement and fostering a unified culture across stores, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, and corporate teams. Prior to Albertsons, Mike served as Group Executive Vice President at J.C. Penney, overseeing human resources, store operations, and communications, contributing to the company’s success during a transformative period. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Yum! Brands, where he helped shape the growth and culture of iconic brands such as Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC. His global experience in leading teams, driving strategic HR initiatives, and navigating complex corporate transactions—including IPOs and mergers & acquisitions—has made him a respected leader in the industry.

Mike finds joy in the simple yet profound power of food to bring people together. His favorite meal is a homemade pizza loaded with fresh vegetables, which he loves sharing with his wife. He believes that food is more than just sustenance—it’s a way to build relationships, celebrate traditions, and inspire well-being. Beyond the table, Mike is an advocate for a balanced lifestyle and enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling, which fuel his energy and passion for leading with purpose.

Mike Withers, EVP, Operations – West

With more than four decades of experience, Mike Withers has built a remarkable career with Albertsons Companies. His expertise in retail operations leadership has led to high-performing, customer-driven teams that achieve impressive results and has helped the company realize its purpose of bringing people together around the joys of food and inspiring well-being.

As EVP of Operations for EVP, Operations – West, Mike leads a vast network of more than 1,300 stores across 17 states. He collaborates with his leadership teams to deliver a nationally strong, locally great approach to earning customers for life each day.

Mike began his career with Albertsons in Boise in 1976 as a courtesy clerk, eventually rising to the position of store manager. He served as District Manager in both Washington and Florida, and later as President of the Big Sky Division where he managed store operations in Montana and North Dakota. In 2006, Mike was appointed Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising for the Florida and Southern Divisions, before advancing to become the President of the Southern and Jewel-Osco divisions.

Mike’s favorite food is typically driven by the occasion. His quick and easy favorite is Open Nature® rotisserie chicken along with a salad. He enjoys wings and finger foods with friends during the game. He always experiences the joys of food with lamb chops, rice, and asparagus.

Division Leadership

Wayne Denningham, EVP and President, Southern California Division

Wayne Denningham, Executive Vice President and President of the Southern California Division, has more than four decades of experience in the grocery industry. Renowned for his commitment to service excellence, he consistently demonstrates an exceptional ability to lead and inspire teams. His leadership plays a vital role in cultivating customers for life in one of Albertsons Companies’ most critical markets.

As EVP and President, Wayne oversees a team of 329 stores that have been serving customers in Southern California since 1906. Today, Albertsons Companies operates in the region under the Vons, Pavilions, and Albertsons banners.

Wayne began his career as a front-end bagger in Denver and rose through the ranks at Albertsons, serving in roles across the country. As Division President and COO, he inspired thousands through his leadership, coaching, and commitment to service excellence. His deep operational knowledge—shaped by experience in California, Texas, Florida, Louisiana, and New Mexico—will continue to drive growth in the Southern California Division.

Wayne has a deep appreciation for Mexican food. His time as a district manager in Albuquerque 30 years ago sparked a lasting love for the bold flavors of New Mexico-style dishes. Outside of work, Wayne thrives on spending quality time with his family and embracing the outdoors through adventurous activities that keep him energized and connected to nature.

Sidney Hopper, President, United Division

With more than four decades of grocery experience, Sidney Hopper has established a remarkable career in the retail food industry, allowing him to lead our United division team in bringing people together around the joys of food and inspiring well-being with our customers and communities. 

Sidney currently serves as the president of The United Family, where he leads a team of 100 stores and 41 United Express fuel and convenience locations with over 18,000 team members under the United, Albertsons Markets, Amigos, and Market Street banners. The United Division also operates Llano Distribution, RCTaylor Distributing, and United Supermarkets Manufacturing. The United family of stores is legendary, it started in Lubbock and now provides more than one hundred years of service to guests and communities in Texas and New Mexico.

Sidney’s journey began in 1980 as a bagger for the United Family of Stores while in High School. His swift ascendancy within the company underscores his exceptional leadership, operational expertise, and dedication to community service. Sidney has held several key positions in his illustrious career. During his career with The United Family, he managed stores in Lubbock, Amarillo, and Vernon before becoming the regional vice president for the Amarillo region and later the company's Chief Operating Officer. He also served as president of The Houston Division from 2014 until his return to The United Family in 2018 as Division President.

Sidney's favorite cuisine is Italian, and he finds immense joy in cooking and sharing these meals with his family and friends.

Carl Huntington, President, Southwest Division

Carl Huntington is recognized as an accomplished retail executive and has more than 20 years of leadership experience at Albertsons Companies.Carl’s expertise includes leadership roles in marketing, merchandising, and operations, and he is known for bringing people together around the joys of food and inspiring well-being.

As President of the Southwest Division, he successfully leads a team consisting of 195 stores under the banners of Albertsons, Safeway, and Vons across Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas, and Utah.

Carl began his career as a clerk in the Southwest Division and over the years has worked his way up, through the ranks, to his current role.  Prior to the Southwest Division, Carl served as Division President of Portland where he successfully drove sales growth and market share.  Before both President roles, Carl served as Senior Vice President of Operations and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising for the Southwest Division.

Carl enjoys the fresh assortment of fruits and vegetables found at Albertsons, Safeway, and Vons.  When visiting stores, he makes a point to visit with deli teams and always grabs some chicken wings to go!  With five states to oversee, Carl stays very active and covers a lot of ground doing what he loves best…serving the associates and customers of the Southwest Division.

Tom Lofland, President, Jewel-Osco Division

Tom Lofland serves as President of the Jewel-Osco Division, bringing over three decades of invaluable expertise in the grocery industry. Known for his strategic vision and leadership, he has continuously demonstrated a commitment to elevating the shopping experience and driving the operational excellence that earns customers for life.

As Jewel-Osco President, he leads a treasured Chicagoland institution that has nourished families for more than a century. Founded in 1899, Jewel-Osco’s team currently has 189 stores and more than 32,000 associates who serve customers in Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa.

Tom began his grocery career in 1990 with Albertsons, quickly rising through the ranks due to his exceptional management skills. He joined Safeway’s Eastern Division as Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing in 2015. In 2018, Tom was named President of the Eastern Division. In 2020, he served as Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing when the Eastern and ACME Divisions merged to form the Mid-Atlantic Division. Before joining the Jewel-Osco Division, he served as President of the Mid-Atlantic Division.

Tom has fond memories of Mom’s mac and cheese and the apple pie only she could make. Today, he experiences the joys of food when barbecuing for friends and family.

Kelly Mullin, President, Northern California Division

Kelly Mullin is a seasoned leader with three decades of experience in the grocery industry. She has a proven track record of driving sales growth, enhancing customer engagement, and improving operational processes. Kelly's collaborative spirit fosters cross-functional teamwork, ensuring that all departments work cohesively to earn customers for life.

As the President of the Northern California Division, she leads a fleet of 287 stores in California, Hawaii and Nevada. These stores operate under the Safeway, Andronico’s, and Vons banners. 

Kelly began her career in 1994. Before serving as President of the Northern California Division, she held the same role in Albertsons Cos.' Portland Division. Prior to that, she served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising for the NorCal Division, following her tenure as Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising for the Portland Division. Her strategic initiatives led to notable sales growth in both divisions. Earlier in her career, she held various positions in retail execution and marketing leadership, including her very first role at a Vons store in Santa Clarita, California.

Kelly’s favorite food is her late mom’s lasagna. The memories they made around the table sharing it are irreplaceable. To this day, the dish brings joy to her life. Kelly loves talking to her team about their favorite foods as well – celebrating their differences while bringing them together through our company’s shared purpose.

Bill Neve, President, Southern Division

Bill Neve has more than three decades of grocery industry experience with Albertsons Companies. He is an accomplished leader who has led marketing, merchandising and operations efforts throughout the country.

As President of the Southern Division, Bill oversees all 144 stores in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. His team has served customers in these communities since 1948 under the Tom Thumb, Randalls, and Albertsons banners.

He previously served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising for Albertsons Cos.' Seattle Division, overseeing those efforts in Washington State, Alaska, and Northern Idaho. Prior to that, he held the same position in the company's Southern Division. Bill also served as Vice President of Operations for Northern California and Reno and held leadership roles as Grocery Sales Manager and District Manager in the Greater Seattle and Portland areas.

Bill Neve has a deep love for cooking, especially when preparing large meals for his family. He enjoys experimenting with new recipes, with favorites like lasagna and enchiladas often making the menu. Recently, he’s developed a passion for cooking on his Blackstone grill, adding a new dimension to his culinary adventures. Outside of work, the Neve family shares a love for the outdoors, particularly fishing and big game hunting across the country.

Shawn Porter, President, Seattle Division

Shawn Porter is the President of Albertsons Companies' Seattle Division, based in Bellevue, Washington. With more than 30 years of retail experience, Shawn has a keen ability to take on difficult ideas and deploy them at scale, without compromising executional excellence.

As president, Shawn leads a fleet of 229 stores in Washington state, Idaho, and Alaska. These stores make a positive impact on customers' lives under the Safeway, Albertsons, Haggen, and Carrs banners.

Shawn was raised in Fort Collins, CO, and began as a part-time clerk and quickly moved through roles of increasing responsibility, reaching Store Director, District Manager, and Director of Operations. He has also spent time in leadership roles with both Walmart and Meijer. In 2016, he was promoted to VPO, Operations for Albertsons Companies Denver Division. He was named SVP, Operations for Jewel-Osco in 2020 and was promoted to President, Shaw’s and Star Market Division in 2024. In 2025, he was named President, Seattle Division.

Shawn's favorite food is a hearty, home-cooked meal that brings his family together, embodying the essence of our company’s purpose. He believes in the power of food to foster connections and inspire well-being. Outside of work, Shawn enjoys outdoor activities, which contribute to his sense of well-being and balance.

Ken Rinaldi, President, Shaw's and Star Market Division

Ken Rinaldi is the President of Albertsons Companies Shaw’s and Star Market division based in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. With 40 years of grocery experience, he is an accomplished leader with deep knowledge of the New England market.

As President, Ken leads a division of two of the most historic grocery banners in the United States. Shaw’s was founded before the Civil War in 1860, and Star Markets opened its first store more than a century ago in 1915. Combined, the division employs 19,000 associates across 146 stores serving customers in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Ken’s career started at Star Market, bagging groceries and pushing carriages when he was in high school. Ken worked his way up and went on to serve in many key leadership roles, including Store Director, District Manager, Buyer, Business Transformation Team Member, Manager of Multi-Banner Strategy, Director of Regional Initiatives, Vice President of Retail Operations, and his most recent position as Senior Vice President of Retail Operations for Jewel-Osco.

For Ken, Sunday was always a day for family gatherings, enjoying pasta with a perfectly seasoned pasta sauce, with just the right compliment of meatballs and sausage, also known as the Sunday gravy. This meal was always complimented with plenty of Italian bread, pecorino Romano grated cheese and wine. But most importantly, it was a time when all generations of our family and often friends joined to enjoy great food and the great company. In addition to eating tasty food and spending time with family, Ken enjoys early morning workouts which include going on walks with his dogs and golfing when time permits. 

John Scuccimarra, President, Portland Division

John Scuccimarra, an accomplished Albertsons Companies leader who has consistently demonstrated deep expertise in operations, marketing, and merchandising. Over the course of his career, he has led high-performing teams, driven strategic initiatives, and delivered results across multiple divisions.

As the President of the Portland Division, John oversees 138 Albertsons and Safeway stores. These stores have served Oregon and Washington state communities since the 1950s.

John began his career in 1986 as a bagger at Star Market and steadily rose through the ranks. His leadership roles have included Store Director, District Manager, Director and General Manager of Sales and Merchandising at Star Market, and Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising at Shaw's. Most recently, as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising for the Southwest Division, his strategic vision and operational expertise have driven significant growth and innovation.

Raised in a traditional Italian family, John’s love for food and family has always been at the heart of his life. Brad Street, President, Mountain West Division

Brad is the President of the Mountain West Division. With more than 40 years of retail grocery experience, he is an accomplished and versatile leader who has led high preforming teams as president in four Albertsons Companies divisions.

As Mountain West President, Brad leads 215 stores in Colorado. Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. He and his team strive to make shopping an effortless, inspiring, affordable and personal experience for customers under the Albertsons, Safeway, Albertsons Market Street and Lucky banners. 

Brad began his career with Albertsons Companies in Salt Lake City in 1983. He has held various leadership positions, including Store Director, District Manager, and Director of Operations. In 2014, he was named VP of Operations for Chicagoland’s Jewel-Osco Division. In 2015, Brad was promoted to President of the Intermountain Division. In 2017, he was named President of the Northern California Division. In 2021, he was asked to serve in the same capacity in the Seattle Division. In 2025, Brad was named President of the newly formed Mountain West Division, which consolidated the Denver and Intermountain Divisions.

Growing up with an Italian Grandma taught Brad the joy of cooking. He remembers helping her make all-day spaghetti sauce and meatballs, a recipe he still tries to duplicate today with an added twist of fresh-made pasta. Some of Brad's favorite gatherings involve shared cooking with family and friends, as it's the perfect way to bring people together around the joys of food. Everyone can participate and share their recipes and tastes. Brad is also an advocate for maintaining a balanced lifestyle, often engaging in reading, cooking, bike rides, gardening, and a good walk to inspire well-being.

Sean Thompson, President, Mid-Atlantic Division

Sean Thompson serves as President of the Mid-Atlantic Division, bringing more than 25 years of experience in retail, wholesale, consulting, and sales. Known for his exceptional leadership and strategic vision, Sean has consistently driven transformation and growth across globally recognized brands. His depth in merchandising and consumer strategy positions him well to help Albertsons Companies continue to evolve and innovate while creating customers for life.

In his current role as President of the Mid-Atlantic Division, Sean oversees 295 stores in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, and Washington, DC. His team operates under the historic ACME, Safeway, Kings, and Balducci’s banners, which have served communities for more than a century.

Sean began his career in retail as a buyer at Target Corporation before advancing through merchandising roles. He later joined 7-Eleven, where he scaled the private brand portfolio to over $1 billion in sales, helped integrate the acquisition of more than 1,000 stores, and served as Chief Customer Officer. Before joining Albertsons Companies, he served as CEO and President of Party City. Sean’s deep retail expertise, combined with his proven ability to deliver innovation and growth, makes him uniquely qualified to lead the Mid-Atlantic Division forward.
