Johnsonville donates $25,000 to Albertsons Companies Foundation’s Nourishing Neighbors Initiative
The donation comes as part of Johnsonville’s celebration of National Bratwurst Day
BOISE, Idaho – August 16, 2021 –Johnsonville and Albertsons Companies (NYSE: ACI) announced today that Johnsonville is donating $25,000 to Albertsons Companies Foundation’s Nourishing Neighbors initiative. August 16 is National Bratwurst Day and as the number one brand of bratwurst in the U.S., Johnsonville has dubbed the day “Bratsgiving”. While they use the day to encourage sausage lovers to hit the grill and celebrate all things bratwurst, Johnsonville’s donation to Nourishing Neighbors puts the “giving” in their Bratsgiving celebrations.
“Bratsgiving is our version of Thanksgiving. It’s a time to celebrate with family and friends around delicious grilled brats, but it’s also a great time to evaluate all we have to be thankful and to give generously to those in need,” said Marc Bennett, Johnsonville Integrated Marketing Manager. “We’re grateful to be able to contribute to the important work Albertsons Cos. is doing to lift vulnerable Americans out of the cycle of hunger.”
