Launch of the Federal Pharmacy Partnership

Throughout the pandemic, the communities we serve have trusted our pharmacy teams to play a critical role in maintaining their health and wellness. Our pharmacy teams have been preparing to handle the unprecedented demand and administer the vaccine safely and efficiently as members of the public become eligible. To date, we have administered more than 250,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine through partnerships with the states in which our 1,700+ pharmacies operate.

Today, the CDC announced the activation of the Federal Pharmacy Partnership. As early start partners in Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington state, our pharmacies will receive direct allocations of vaccine through this program beginning next week, which supplements what the company is already offering in partnership with states. This additional supply from the federal government will be administered based on the states’ eligibility guidelines. As noted by the CDC, supply will be limited in the initial phase of the partnership. As vaccine supply increases, more of our pharmacies will participate in this federal program.

Those currently eligible for the vaccine can find our appointment scheduler and FAQs at www.albertsons.com/COVID-19. New appointments are added to the online scheduler as more vaccine become available. Demand is high and appointments are often claimed very quickly, and we ask the public to remain patient. As dose allocations increase, so too will the opportunity to secure an appointment. The company is kindly asking the public to please check the website first for the most up-to-date information, before calling your local store or pharmacy.
